"Los Angeles is the second most big of the United States after New-York. She is situated in the south of California, on Pacific Coast. The Americans often call him by the diminutive L.A. The population of the municipality is 3 834 340 inhabitants in 2007 while it was only 11 500 in 1887. The county collects 10 179 716 habitants while the urban area of Los Angeles counts approximately 18.5 million inhabitants, what makes it the second town of the United States after that of New-York."
